Your morning departure for this 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes is from your hotel/riad at 08:30 am. After the Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, you will pass a great many Berber villages and gardens, as well as smaller Kasbahs.

After that, the next stop will be the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the most stunning of all the thousands of Kasbahs in Morocco and one of Morocco’s nine UNESCO World Heritage sites. In addition, it served as a backdrop for numerous acclaimed movies, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Babel.
After lunch in the village, you will continue your desert tour, and a brief halt in Ouarzazate grants you the opportunity to view Africa’s largest film studio (optional inside tour).

The route proceeds through Boumalen Dades, with a scenic drive through the large palm grove of Skoura, the Kela’a M’gouna, and the Valley of Roses. Optionally, you may visit the distinctive rock formations known as ‘Monkey fingers’ in Dades Valley before proceeding to your Riad, or explore them the following day.

Following a delicious breakfast, we drive through the Dades Valley and stop at a spot overlooking it to enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Dades Gorges. Then we continue to Tinghir. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the dramatic Todgha Gorge, carved by the winding Todgha River, with cliffs plunging up to 300 meters deep. Feel free to wander through the gorges and explore the dramatic Todgha Canyon.

On the way to the Erg Chebbi Desert, we will drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinejdad. Free time for lunch on the way.

In the afternoon, we will reach the Merzouga desert, where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert (the luggage will be transported to the camp via a 4×4 vehicle). An amazing stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical Sunset on top of a high dune and enjoy the sandboarding (optional), then continue to the desert luxury camp with a private bathroom, king-sized beds, and tasteful Moroccan furniture, all designed to provide a great sense of calm and relaxation.
Here, you can enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under a starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Depart from Merzouga, heading towards Fez. En route, we will drive along the Ziz River. We will stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the picturesque Ziz Valley, characterized by lush palm groves and Berber villages.

After that, we continue through the Cedar forest of the Middle Atlas Mountains, where the Barbary Macaques live, and feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. A brief stop in Ifrane, often called the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’, offers a chance to refresh and enjoy a coffee break.

The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s 4×4 and will be waiting for you upon arrival.
