Depart the city and head towards Ifrane, where you can take a brief 20-minute stop and perhaps have a cup of coffee before continuing our desert trip to the Middle Atlas region to explore the cedar forests and observe the Barbary macaques, a unique primate species native to the region.
From here, we continue through Midelt, where we’ll stop for lunch along the way. The timing is flexible, allowing you to enjoy your meal whenever you prefer during the journey.
After that, we head to the Sahara Desert, driving through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, and a picturesque panorama of the Ziz Valley, full of palm trees, awaits our admiration.
By mid-afternoon, we reach Merzouga and enjoy your stay at a beautiful riad overlooking the golden dunes that surround the village.

Driving distance: Approximately 500 km
Driving time: Approximately 7 hr 30 min

Your day of exploration in the Merzouga Desert begins with a delicious breakfast at your riad. The first stop is the small village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy traditional Gnaoua music performed by local musicians whose ancestors originated from sub-Saharan Africa.

Next, you will drive off-road to Mefis mines, an abandoned village with Galena mines, a mineral once used to make Mascara. Then, we continue toward the desert to meet Bedouin families living behind the Erg Chebbi dunes near the border. It is a relaxed visit and a chance to learn about their nomadic lifestyle.

In the afternoon, we start our camel ride into the dunes. The camels take us toward the Erg Chebbi dunes for a magical Sunset ride. After sunset, we arrive at the camp for dinner and an overnight stay in your private luxury tent.

Driving distance: Approximately 57 km
Driving time: Approximately 1 hr 30 min

Today, we recommend waking up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will depart from the camp to Merzouga by camel or 4×4.

We leave the Merzouga Desert and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. If your visit falls on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, you will have the opportunity to explore its traditional market.

After a stroll through the Rissani market, we continue to Erfoud, where you can optionally visit a fossilized marble workshop. We then drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinejdad before reaching the spectacular Todra Gorge.

At Todra Gorges, you will enjoy panoramic views of the valley and the old Kasbahs, and then we will head to the Grand Canyon, where we will have free time to walk and explore this natural spot. We will continue on the way towards the Dades Valley.
By evening, we will reach your riad, where you will have dinner and rest for the night.

Driving distance: Approximately 310 km
Driving time: Approximately 5 hr

Today marks the conclusion of your 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech. Following a delicious breakfast at your riad, we leave the Dades Valley and drive through the M’gouna Valley, a region known for its rose fields and small Berber villages.

A mere 20 Kilometrs from Ouarzazate lies the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed Ksar built from traditional mud-brick structures. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies and TV series, including Gladiator, The Mummy, Game of Thrones…
