DAY 1: CASABLANCA ---> CHEFCHAOUEN
Our 5-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech starts with a pick-up from your Riad in Fes.
You will drive south through Imouzzer town to visit Ifrane, where you can take a brief 15-minute stop and perhaps have a cup of coffee before continuing our journey to the Middle Atlas region to explore the cedar forests and observe the Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt or Rich, we continue toward Erfoud, passing through the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass and the beautiful Ziz Valley. We will stop along the way to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the valley and its thousands of palm trees.
Upon reaching the Merzouga desert, we will settle in for the night at a comfortable riad, where both dinner and breakfast are included.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA EXPLORATION & CAMEL TREK
Your day of exploration in the Merzouga Desert begins with a tasty breakfast at your riad. We will drive towards the Khamlia village, where you can enjoy traditional Gnaoua music performed by local musicians whose ancestors originated from Mali, Niger, and Sudan.
Next, you will drive off-road to Mefis mines, an abandoned village with Galena mines, a mineral once used to make Mascara. Then, you continue toward the desert to meet Nomad families living behind the Erg Chebbi dunes near the border. It is a relaxed visit and a chance to learn about their way of life.
In the afternoon, we return to Merzouga and begin our camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a magical sunset in the heart of the Sahara before arriving at your desert camp. After a delicious dinner, relax around the campfire while local Berber musicians play traditional drums and songs.
End the day by admiring the star-filled sky before spending the night in your comfortable camp.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT ---> RISSANI ---> TODRA GORGES ---> DADES GORGES
Today, we recommend waking up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After enjoying breakfast at the camp, we will depart for Merzouga by camel or 4×4.
We leave Merzouga town and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. If your visit falls on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, you will have the opportunity to explore its traditional market where locals and Berber nomads come together to trade goods and essentials.
After a stroll through the Rissani market, we continue to Erfoud, where you can optionally visit a fossilized marble workshop. We then drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinejdad before reaching the stunning Todra Gorge.
Here, you will enjoy panoramic views of the valley and the old Kasbahs, and then we will head to the Grand Canyon, where we will have free time to walk and explore this natural spot. We will continue on the way towards the Dades Valley.
By evening, we will reach your hotel, where you will have dinner and rest for the night.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY ---> M'GOUNA VALLEY ---> KASBAH AMRIDIL ---> OUARZAZATE
After a tasty breakfast at your riad, we leave the Dades Valley and continue through the beautiful M’Gouna Valley, famous for its rose fields and traditional Berber villages. If you are visiting in spring, you can enjoy the sight of thousands of blooming roses and take a short walk to experience the valley’s natural beauty.
We continue to Skoura, a beautiful oasis full of palm trees. It was an important stop for old camel caravans traveling between North and South Africa. Here, you will visit the Amridil Kasbah and learn how people lived more than 300 years ago.
After visiting the Kasbah, we will transfer you to your accommodation in Ouarzazate for a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE ---> AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH ---> HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ---> MARRAKECH
After enjoying a tasty breakfast at your riad, we will head to the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou via Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studios, which provide insights into the city’s cultural and cinematic significance.
The Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one of Morocco’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a famous filming location for Hollywood movies. It is also one of the most well-known kasbahs in the country, with some buildings dating back to the 17th century.
Following our exploration and a satisfying lunch, we will drive through the stunning High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakech. Our journey includes many stops at picturesque viewpoints.
